What is a veneer?
A veneer, also called a facing, shell, facet, or thin layer, is a dental restoration that provides aesthetic repair for damaged teeth. In professional terms, a veneer is a dental restoration made of porcelain or ceramic. Before placing a veneer, the natural tooth is carefully shaved down so that the veneer fits perfectly. The surface is not polished, which helps the veneer adhere well. The rougher the surface, the better the veneer sticks.
The veneers are made by a specialized dental technician using an impression taken after the tooth has been shaved. Between the time the tooth is shaved and the final veneer is placed, the patient receives temporary veneers.

We whiten using a low concentration of hydrogen peroxide that fully complies with EU regulations, namely 6%. This method is 100% safe and reliable.
What is a crown?
The crown is the visible upper part of the tooth or molar and provides protection and restoration in case of damage or loss. A crown is much smaller than the other, non-visible part: the root. The outside of the crown consists of very hard enamel. The rest of a molar or tooth consists of dentin, which is less hard than enamel. Inside run blood vessels and nerves.
When necessary, a natural crown can be replaced by an artificial crown made of ceramic or metal, which matches your natural teeth perfectly. This is a cap made of ceramic and/or metal. It fits precisely over a filed-down tooth or molar and is glued to it. To give the crown as natural an appearance as possible, the cap is built up with a layer of translucent porcelain. An artificial crown is used when there is insufficient support for a filling due to tooth decay. The placement of artificial crowns can be part of the treatment by a cosmetic dentist.
